How some ai artist se themselves

Postby Netherrealmer » 20 Oct 2025, 10:01

I'm starting to see some AI artists who are very entitled, who thinks that they really are an artist, even though they just type a prompt with no effort. Like, seriously. They want to be seen as a serious artist. No one is going to print their work, and no one is going to buy it as an NFT. I've never seen something this delusional, but these people exist. I have seen so many of them who brag about they are a real artist. When their work is basically a paraphrased version of someone else's work.

I do sometimes wonder if we will see a small number of AI artists / designers becoming successful and well-known for their work. Photography is seen as an art, but I suspect that when cameras first came out that artists / painters looked on them despairingly.

This is a serious topic and it raises mixed feelings. It is true that some people use AI to create art without much effort, and then call themselves full-fledged artists. It can be frustrating for those who spend their time and skills creating real work.

But technology is also changing the way we understand creativity. Writing the right prompt is also a form of skill, although not everyone will see it that way. AI art is still new and people are learning to use it in different ways. There are others who are just trying to express themselves in new ways.

All I can say is that ai has come to enable unscrupulous people to brazenly abuse due processes.

This is a huge possibility.
Hold on. Will it matter whether someone was a skilled art6ist before the advent of AI?
