This dentist proudly bragged during a speech at a Republican Women’s Conference that if her patients aren’t MAGA supporters, she gives them less anesthesia, laughing gas, or even cocaine. That essentially amounts to torturing patients and is grounds for losing her license. Now she claims it was only a joke—but even as a joke, it’s unacceptable. Dentists are expected to treat their patients with care, and intentionally giving less anesthesia during painful dental procedures could cost her license. Because of her remarks, many unrelated dental clinics with similar names are receiving harassment and negative reviews, even though they have no connection to her. All of this puts her at serious risk of losing her license.

It is very sad to hear such a statement from a health professional. Doctors should provide care equally without discrimination. Such statements erode the trust of patients and can affect the entire profession. The rights and dignity of the patient are of paramount importance.

Respect and calm are very important in a medical environment.
If a doctor is not sensitive to your feelings, it is perfectly reasonable to seek out someone who is. Dental health is important, but it is also important to feel safe and respected.

If she was a doctor she could be struck off for that. I don't know if there's an equivalent for dentists but there should be.

However Modern or Post Modern we get, sayings like "What we say is like an Arrow from a Bow- it doesn't comes back (or something similar)".
So the Dentist must be repenting what she said in excitement.

I saw the video and found it very distasteful. She's a dentist, so I guess her level of intelligence has to be above average - at least. She should have known better. Saying it was meant to be a joke is just lame, especially in such a politically fractured country.
