What country should you use if you want a larger Netflix library?

Postby Netherrealmer » 22 Sep 2025, 08:44

If the Netflix in your country have a smaller library and you want to have a larger library, it will be easier if you are VPN. If you use VPN and you're already subscribed, it's not going to affect your subscription. You can turn off the VPN if you are about to renew your subscription so you won't be charged with that country's price. Because you know, if you are from a third world country, Netflix is cheaper. And if your VPN is in the US while your subscription uses VPN, you might get charged with the price of that country. So remember to turn off your VPN if you are close to expiring. But if your Netflix just got renewed, this is the prime schedule to use VPN and change your IP address. Here's the thing. There are movies and TV shows that you want to watch but not available in your country. And right now, there are two countries with the biggest libraries. Why their libraries are bigger? They basically have American TV shows, anime, Japanese TV shows, Korean TV shows that may not be licensed to your country yet. Usually, most countries with smaller libraries just have the Netflix originals while the third-party content was so few. But if you have VPN, you can use Argentina or Slovakia. Slovakia has the biggest library in Netflix in the whole world while Argentina is the most popular country used by VPN users because it also has a large library.

By using a VPN can you view the Netflix library from one country today and a different country tomorrow?

It’s true that Netflix’s library often varies by country, and it can be frustrating to only see a limited number of shows available. Using a VPN is a popular way to unlock a larger library without changing your subscription.

It’s important to know the duration of your subscription to avoid overage charges from other countries. By paying attention to the renewal period, you can enjoy more shows without any unexpected charges. This is a smart way to get the most value.

Argentina and Slovakia are great options for a wide library. With this knowledge, you can enjoy international shows without restrictions.

I refuse to further enrich Netflix after they refused to refund the money they stole from me long after I cancelled my subscription. I watch all their content via an IPTV. The region-specific thing also wound me up because all we had was very old content we'd seen years ago. NG NG!!!

I think using a VPN makes it a lot easier. Though i don't use Netflix at the moment.

Smart hack if you don’t want to feel stuck with a limited selection.

Sorry for your experience—it’s true, streaming services can be frustrating, especially if you feel you’ve been treated unfairly. Not getting a refund and getting old content is a real bummer.

When it comes to Netflix’s vast library, the US often has the widest selection. However, not everyone can enjoy it equally due to geographic restrictions and company policies.

It’s worth exploring alternatives like IPTV or other streaming services.

VPNs can really open access to shows that aren’t available in some regions. Just make sure to follow Netflix’s terms, since they sometimes limit content based on location.

I'm in the USA and have had Netflix for years. It's my son's subscription.

Only one bad experience. His account got hacked. But we have been subscribing for at least 10 years and there are multiple profiles. I have a wide range of content to watch. My only complaint about Netflix is their documentary programs SUCK!

I would like to try VPN for some Korean programs that don't air in America. But even if I get the series I want to watch, I don't know if they have English subtitles.

BEFORE Netflix:
My late husband liked Bollywood. Sometimes he would find Bollywood movies on YouTube. But they didn't have English subtitles. He would actually try to watch anyway, even though he didn't speak the language, and try to guess what was going on. LOL.

Fortunately, Netflix has a lot of Indian cinema. I used to watch with him, but now I'm into Korean drama. :D
