Nobody is going to be riding them.

Tinamu is a small bird... How will they make a giant bird out of it?

My theory is they will do something similar to this experiment. Many years ago a group of Japanese schoolgirls, Try hatching a fertile egg outside it's shell. They try to incubate an egg in plastic cup and saran wrap.

A chick got born without egg shell.

A guy from Youtube tried to do it too.

Or making Governments do more in environmental conservation.

How would they make governments do that? Do you lobby your country's government to do that?

That makes more sense. It's unfortunate that this company hasn't published any of their findings so there is no way of knowing what they are doing or whether any of it is legitimate.

This would make more sense, instead of bringing back what is already gone.

They said their technology is used for endangered animals too. Its easier to get funding for extinct animals though

Hopefully, the same technology used to bring back extinct animals can also help save the ones that are still around.

It got extinct because The Mauri loves hunting them while they are also hunted by the Haast's eagle, A giant eagle that can eat human children. They also dont lay a lot of eggs.

Ostrich and Emu taste like beef so most likely its beefy but more chewy because its big

It would be silly to bring them back just for that- such a waste of resources. I'm not saying people wouldn't. Rich people do a lot of weird stuff.

Māori not Mauri. There are quite a few Māori people where I live- my friends and co-workers. I don't mean to nitpick, I just think it's respectful to call a culture by the right name (please do correct me if I make similar mistakes as I no doubt will at some point).

I hadn't heard of Haast eagles before, just looked them up. Wow, they were huge!

It would have been not odd. Is there any specific reason for them to try to bring the tallest one out of the 9 species?

Although terrifying to many, the 12-foot bird is a symbol of progress and humanity's attempts to understand and right historical wrongs. But the question remains: are we prepared to live with these wonders, or are we playing with nature's fire? Time will tell.
