Uploading to online storage is had for me expect a few documents as opposed to videos and photos which consume large data when doing uploading. Since data and Internet is costly, the only way to save is to stop online backups but only allowing a few documents that I store remotely.

It is safer to store online. But my issue uploading the files. When the files are heavy, it becomes even more complicated. Besides online also limits space unless you go for paid storage.

Very true, this is one reason I don't use cloud storage that often, the amount of data needed to move heavy files is something else.

And yet it is the same files that one needs to save. Data is over used and sometimes files end up failing to upload due to bad connection.
