Re: Chat & What Did you do today? - How was your day?

Postby arunima » 10 Jul 2025, 02:21

My day has just started. I am here as I enjoy my breakfast and tea. Will start for work in some time. It's cloudy and cold. The kind of morning when you don't want to step out.

I have gone cold turkey on sweet tea.

Last night, I pitched out 3 pitchers of sweet tea and prepared 3 pitchers of unsweetened tea sweetened with Jordan's Skinny Syrup which has no calories, no carbs, no sodium, etc. Just a good sweet taste.

The reason you ask? Yesterday I saw my family physician and was weighed. I gained 7 pounds. I was very upset. :( :(

Would any of you like to be my accountability partner?

Weight fluctuations of up to 3kg (7 pounds) are normal. If you weighed yourself more often you would probably notice that it goes up and down from day to day.

It's a beautiful winter's day here. Clear skies. I'm going to go out in the yard and practice with my fire staff (not on fire, I'm not ready to actually light it while I'm still learning).

I've been under the weather for a couple of days and haven't really done much. Hopefully I'll have some more energy today and get my house cleaned. I might head to the library in the afternoon as well to return some books and pick up one I have on hold.

Today was a mix of productivity and reflection.
I spent most of the day looking for new ways to earn online and learning how to make better use of platforms like this one. I also took some time to think about my goals and how far I’ve come despite the challenges. It wasn’t a perfect day, but I’m grateful for the little steps.

I had my book club meeting today, which was fun. Just an online meeting, but that was for the best because I have a cold and don't want to spread my germs around. It's still a fun way to socialise and talk about things I enjoy.

@Jem Smith
Online meetings are such a convenient way to connect, specially when you're under the weather. Hope you feel better soon. Keep enjoying those reads.
