Yep. I make a 'cheese' sauce with cashews to do vegan mac and cheese. You can also get fancy cashew cheeses, like Brie and Camenbert, which are eerily similar to the real thing. I can't make those though. It takes some serious skill.

Thanks for sharing :) Cashew nuts are my go to nuts. In fact, they are the one type of nut I refuse to run out of. So it's great to know that they are a powerhouse of goodies.

Oh, ok... thanks for sharing :) I love pesto but don't bother making it because pine nuts are beyond pricey in my country. So it's good to know I can use cashews instead. Do you know why pine nuts are so expensive, though?? I just don't get it!

Probably because they're a pain to harvest. Mind you, so are cashews, so I dunno.

Not the ones that you get pine nuts from, because they're only small. There is a type of pine called a Bunya pine and Bunya pine cones can kill you if they fall on you because they can weight up to 10kg. We have a few of them growing near where I used to live and I have eaten roast Bunya nuts, which are tasty, a bit like a roast potato. That's not what is used for pesto though.

Yep. One landed on my Dad's car once and left a huge dent in the bonnet. Lucky it was just the car and not a person. He didn't park there again.

They use a needle pinch amount of the oil so it will only burn the wart and not the skin, only dermatologist are licensed to apply it.

Oh! I love cashews. But I was not having them regularly and limiting their consumption because I was told that they put on weight. Now that you have given a contradictory view, I should check this out. I would be happy to include them more frequently in my nut consumption.

While I am not a nuts eater, it all looks like Cashew nuts have lots of benefits that have made me wonder if I can test. The mental well-being is one additional benefit I have liked just that am not sure if they are here in my country. Good recommendation and I will try to find them and give a try.

Are standard, at least from my area, walnuts good as cashew? I know they don't have all ingredients as cashew but they can replace it as well.

Walnuts are actually pretty great. They're different from cashews. walnuts have more omega-3s which is awesome for your brain and heart while cashews are creamier and have more protein. For snacking or adding crunch to stuff, walnuts work perfectly as a substitute. Plus they're usually way cheaper than cashews in most places, so that's a bonus.
