A lot of White Christians are offended there is a Hindu God Statue in Texas

Postby Netherrealmer » 14 Apr 2025, 11:54

A 90 foot tall Statue of a Hindu God is now the tallest Statue in Texas and a lot of Christian White Americans are so offended. The comment section of this tweet is cesspool of racism.

Why would Christians even hate Hindus, They assimilate well in Western Society. Unlike Muslims, Hindus are not trying to convert people. They also don't practice polygamy. Yet These Christian Twitter people wants the statue to be bombed saying its unAmerican. I even saw someone saying That Statue does not belong to white country. First of All Texas was a former Mexican State, It was not "White country" . Most Hindus in America are highly educated and are in STEM

This is Texas Demographic, Not Very European
40.2% of the population was Hispanic and Latino American of any race, 39.3% non-Hispanic white, 11.6% Black or African American, 2.73% Native American or Alaska Native, 5.1% Asian, 0.2% Native Hawaiian.

Also White people are about to be the Minority in The US soon because they prefer furbabies over having children. These racist people on twitter are so offended about this.

Christian can build their Jesus or Mary Statue if they dont like being outshined.

It looks like an amazing statute. I'd really like to see it. Perhaps the locals should learn to enjoy it and benefit from it. If the statute is promoted, it could prove to be a useful tourist attraction, bringing significant benefits to the area.

Yeah, that tracks. It's Christian privilege, where some Christians get so used to everything being in accordance with their worldview that it really throws them when something isn't. I've seen a Christian dude yell at a shop assistant because their show sold Buddha statues. It wasn't any of his business, and it seems so bizarre to me that someone would walk around getting mad about other people's cultures and religions just existing in public places.

Attitudes like that makes them push people away more from religion.

They say money is the root of all evil but I reckon we should reword that to say money and religion. It irks me how Christians always act so precious about almost everything. And I say that as a Christian. Out of all religions, I find Christians can be such judgemental, preachy, and entitled hypocrites it's unreal

Yes it is racism.
Plus there are folks who somehow present HinduPhobic ideology.
Some folks could be having linkage to a peaceful nation who cannot distinguish between Terrorist and innocent citizens and whom many Western nations ignore for their own objectives.
I won't go further as one would label me biased.

Yet such people should understand that Hindus would instead help these folks in the times of need and live in real peace with others.

I live in Texas. NOT Sugarland. But this is my first time hearing this.

I'm in Austin. We have Hindu temples, Buddhist temples, mosques, synagogues.
I've never heard any complaints, and our local news reports are very thorough. They 'share what's happening all around Texas.

If there are complaints, they must be keeping the matter low-key.

Maybe they're waiting for Trump's Religious Liberty Commission to do something!

It's the LOVE of money. Not money.
The scripture is often misquoted. Nothing wrong with money. It's just a "thing".

People from India were INVITED to come from Texas.
The Republican Party has had political influence in Texas, i.e. they're the ones who invited them.

If they wanted to convert them, they should have just gone on a missionary trip to India!
