What is the best Google authenticator app?

Postby kat82 » 29 May 2025, 07:29

I am looking for the best authentication app that will help me store my sensitive passwords for the different websites. I have tried Authy but recently it started failing to verify the linked phone number thus locking me outside it. Any other option you know?

There is an app called Google Authenticator, is that what you are looking for or do you require a password manager?

Oh yes, I hadn't tried the Above by Google but when I read the post I rushed and downloaded it. It is one of the kind I have been looking for. Thank you. So tell me about this other one you talked about, the password manager how it works.

Password Managers are used for securely storing passwords. The one I use is https://www.lastpass.com/, but there are probably better ones, including free and open source options.

How long have you been using this? Saw it's paid with free trial. Is it reliable?
