Are You Always Prepared?

Postby Spontaneo » 20 Dec 2024, 02:07

I am always prepared! You might laugh, but I am serious!

I carry Band-Aids for cuts, Pepto-Bismal for nausea and upset tummy, cranberry tablets for UTI, ibuprofen for headaches and pains and obviously a debit card.

Once I was somewhere at a social function. A friend got a coughing spell. He walked up to myself and asked for a cough drop! How would he know that I had a cough drop? LOL Because I come prepared! LOL

Are you prepared?

I'm a mum, so I got into the habit of carrying a lot of things that my children might need, not to mention things I need myself. I always have tissues, band aids, hand sanitiser, lip balm, a water bottle (I used to have to carry them for my children too), wet wipes and a couple of small lollipops on me, plus the usual stuff like wallet, phone and keys.

A friend of mine is even better prepared. Once we were out dancing and the sole came off my shoe. She had a roll of duct tape in her bag that I used to fix it temporarily.

As a rational person, you have to always be prepared for anything at any time.

That is hilarious! I once went grocery shopping and the sole came half off. I had to shop around going climp clump sounding like a horse!

I don't think anybody is really prepared for absolutely anything at any time.

There are days/nights when I need to be prepared to write. Often, when I read cookbooks and e-cookbooks, they begin to seem all the same. I need to mix them up. Instead of writing about smoothies and smoothies, for example, I need to change. I have a whole bag of library cookbooks to review all about no-bakes! So, obviously, I am going to need a couple of siestas in-between! I just get excited about a topic when ordering. I just can't stop!

I tend to be ultra prepared for just about anything that comes my way. I have enough food and water for the entire apartment complex to survive a few months with no grocery stores. I have enough charcoal for outside fires to cook all of it. I have enough cleaning supplies to clean every apartment in our apartment complex without running out. I have a huge first aid kit with a lot of odd additions to cover everything from a bee sting to a broken bone and then some. I have a giant tool box with every tool I have ever purchased or needed. I have a solar electric system to live through blackouts and even charge all the electronics neighbors bring to me for a charge. I have a box full of left over hardware to fix all kinds of things. I've got enough investments to cover my final boxing and I've even got enough cash on hand to cover emergencies as they arise. Not much left I don't have covered.

I would love to have a solar electric system.

My roommate asked myself if there is anything that I would like to buy at the grocery store for when I am at my friends' for the Christmas holiday.

So far, I have figured out stuff that we already have in our fridge and freezer. We have tons of bread.

For example, meatballs, maple sausage links, bologna (I would prepare Hammy Sammies, but just easier taking the meat package), hot dogs, ... Sandwiches are still easy for myself to consume.

Am I missing any item that I can grab at the grocery store?

Thank you!

I like to be as germ-free as possible.

I make sure that we have hand sanitizer in various parts of our house and Spic and Span cleaner that even kills the Covid-virus.

I don't think there is anyone out there who can always be prepared. There are times unexpected things happens.
