I might be wrong though but from what i have seen here on my location, it is very rare to find a place that would give you w free sample you can carry home. Majority of the time, they only let you try it there and if you want it you buy it.

Very good information, in my country there is a product sample but it is included in other products sold. Example: Buy toothpaste and get a small toothpaste sample. Buy soy sauce, get samples of cooking spices, and others.

We also have those type of samples here but I have already noticed that sometimes the price of those promotion sets are a little bit higher, so it is better to check the price first.

Free samples in my country only involves food items that can be eaten raw and they must be unpackaged. Beyond that, no free samples.

Thanks so much for sharing! I wish I could enjoy these free samples too. However, Botswana's population of just over 2.3 million puts many businesses off. So I doubt I'd get anything! I have a student in Switzerland who recently went to a beauty counter and walked away with THREE 100ml bottles of designer perfume!! She didn't even have to ask. Go figure!

It might even be more effective than paying for ads somewhere. Potential customers try the product and others come to know of it by them then word gets around. Also this way people know for sure that the product is this way or that way. You know what I mean, without having to wonder if the ad is what it claims.

I feel you but at least you're getting SOMETHING. Have a little sympathy for us here in Botswana Most of our retailers are South African, and they reserve all the treats for South Africa. We don't even get any proper promotions during special calendar days such as Christmas.
