Mobile Responsiveness

Postby sweerie_banana » 28 Mar 2024, 09:48

With more users accessing the web from mobile devices, ensuring mobile responsiveness is non-negotiable. How do you ensure your websites are fully responsive across different devices and screen sizes? Any responsive design best practices to share?

Use frameworks like Bootstrap or Foundation that provide pre-built components and grids to easily create responsive layouts. Also, regularly test websites on various devices such as smartphones, tablets, and desktops to ensure they display correctly and function properly on different screen sizes.

You can resize and compress images to ensure fast loading times on mobile devices without sacrificing quality.

One must remember that many users now access the internet via phones and tablets, so if a site fails to adjust properly, it will cause visitors to quickly flee. The best way is to use a mobile first design and then add features for large screens, using CSS media queries and layout tools like flexbox and grid to ensure that images are scaled according to the device and buttons are easy to touch. It's like the Swahili proverb that says, "If you don't close a crack, you'll build a wall."

I don't think mobile responsiveness is even negotiable for any website nowadays when 60% of internet traffic is from mobile devices.
