I found a new social media app the other day and joined. It is called Lemon8 .It is something along the lines of instagram. You post pictures and videos there. If you go there you will find me with the same username as here.

I am good with the existing social media platforms because they have a huge userbase. I am not sure if new social media platforms will reach billions of users any time soon.

I agree, it can be tough for new social media platforms to compete with the established ones. But it's always exciting to see what fresh ideas and features they bring to the table.

Social media niche is closed unless it would be strictly local. The strictly local ones might even try to get userbase than trying to create a global social media.

From what I've heard, ByteDance, the company which created TikTok is behind Lemon8, which could mean it has great potential.
