Take A Siesta

Postby Spontaneo » 07 Jan 2024, 04:41

If you take a siesta, do you feel like you are wasting precious moments?

We all need a break every once in a while! Do not feel guilty!

A siesta does more good to me than harm. I would kill for a chance to have a siesta everyday. It cools my head.

How I so much crave for a siesta. This is something I used to have in abundance years ago. Siesta time. Nowadays, I am begging for just 10 minutes to close my eyes. It is really choked up for me everyday.

I wish I could. At the moment I just don't have the time during the day for one. I also have trouble falling asleep quickly, especially during the day, so at best it would be a rest for me, not a sleep.

It is very important to take a siesta. Even if it is just for an hour. It would do your body and your mind lots of good.

Siestas are so important. I spend my break at work taking a nap. It helps me a whole lot. I eat much later after the end of break.

Yes, I do. I sleep for a couple of minutes daily, especially in the afternoon. I can do it because I work from home. That is the beauty of being an online freelancer.

This is how I usually feel most times honestly. This is one reason why I find it hard to actually get some sleep.

Very rarely do I need to take a siesta but when I feel the need I don't think it is a waste of time at all. It is something very common in Spain, some companies are even close to letting the employees take the siesta.

I feel lucky I manage to fall asleep in the afternoon, seems like not everyone is able to.
I usually don't feel the need to take a nap but when I happen to wake up early in the morning I may indulge in a siesta.
I'm less productive as well as grumpy when tired, so taking a nap is actually a good solution.
Definitely better than smoking or eating unhealthy snacks to keep oneself awake.

I work from home and often take a nap during my lunch break. Personally I believe that it is helpful and results in having more energy during the working day whilst reducing the hours I spend in bed during the night.

When you take a siesta, do you need silence? I need white noise. For example, I need a box fan on.

I find it difficult to sleep if there is any noise. I generally try to take a nap when I am the only one in the house, so it will not be noisey :)

There is always noise in my house. Although one roommate has 3 jobs, the other roommate has the living room television on at all hours of the day.

I take a nap 2 or 3 times a day for safety. If I don't, I will fall asleep in my computer chair and possible fall out and hurt myself.

I would @Fergal but am afraid of not hearing my ringtones for calls and texts.

I once did chair yoga. So many people praise yoga. Afterward, I went to take a shower and almost fell asleep in the shower. I could have gotten hurt. Never again.

I put my phone on airplane mode anytime I take a nap. Why would you want to hear calls and texts when you are taking a nap? Are any of them really that important that they need to interrupt your short nap?
