Internal Server Error?

Postby Spontaneo » 08 Oct 2023, 00:20

Ever since last evening, I have been attempting to submit a cookbook review to toopa but now when I click the submit button, a page shows up stating "Internal Server Error".

I am very frustrated.

Have you ever had an internal server error and if so, what did you do?

Thank you.

Internal server errors are always out of your control. It always has to be fixed from the server side.

I think it happens to anyone., I am not using Laptop or a Computer.
According to my view it can be solved by a)Adjusting modem
b)Restart the system
c) Switch off the data connection & switch on

It might be an issue from the site's server side. If you are facing the issue only specific to a particular site and not otherwise, it must be a problem on their end. And I guess you can not do anything about it. It has to be fixed from their end.

They claim that nobody else is having this problem.

A roommate told me to cool off and do something else. I am frustrated as had done good quality work on the article.

If the article is not published by either tonight or tomorrow, I am going to ask if I may submit somewhere else.

Can you try to
open the site on other browsers than your usual one,

activate/deactivate VPN to access the site,

open in incognito mode?

Send them screenshot with full screen so they can see browser, url, date and time. Also ask somebody else from website authors to do same.

The website told me that my problem could be the image of the cookbook for the review.

I have always gotten my cookbook images from Amazon. Why would I have a problem?

I got a solution! Alleluia!

Instead of .jpg, I used .png

Something so small.

A roommate even attempted to yahoo a solution.

Right now, I need a few iced mochas. Then, shall work on more cookbook reviews tomorrow!

Oh I see, it means you were uploading the wrong image format.

By the way, the website authors seem noobs (being a software professional myself) as they could have handled the case in the browser itself and show you a message instantly when you upload the wrong file format, instead of allowing you to submit the form.

Atleast I know now to use a .png instead of a .jpg

I just do not understand as I have always gotten my images straight from Amazon as a .jpg.

I am a little slow when it comes to laptops.

Speaking of this prompt, I experienced it yesterday. I cannot access my local wallet app. I tried to search for how to handle it. I found out that the app or site is under maintenance. We just need to wait for them to finish this task.

PNG and JPG are two interchangeable formats that even work if you just edit the file name extension from jpg to PNG and vice versa. I wonder why the website authors put a restriction on jpg there, but in any case, the conversion is very trivial should you need one.

Maybe the site has a glitch. Maybe you can contact the administrator because the problem is on their end. I hope it will be fixed immediately so you can submit your work.

Sometimes hosting will cause that issues. But sadly, there comes no warning ahead. You just wake up and see it when you visit.

Hopeful it was due to high traffic or an attach thus having the database unlinked. But good he is enjoying now.
