Do you trust your bank 100% when it comes to keeping your money?

Postby kat82 » 06 Sep 2023, 04:50

Some years back, an Indian living in Network gave me a task to help her process a BC. I did the work and she paid the money through bank EFT. After mailing her work through DHL, 3 days later I got a notification from my bank that the money had been recalled. And it's me who funded the transfer fees. I was cheated. When asked the bank, they said the sender had recalled sand they didn't even have to notify me before sending the money to Citibank. How much do you trust your bank with your money?

Banks in my country are mandated to insure customers' deposit. I have no fear whatsoever keeping my money in the bank.

I am using a bank that has lasted more than a century. It is very easy for me to relax my mind. It won't close now.

I am a customer of a bank that is a trusted brand here. My experience with their customer service has also been good. Being a premium member, I do enjoy a lot of other privileges and services. I trust them with my money.
But then the trust can never be 100 percent. Many good banks have gone South in the recent times.

In my country, even if a bank closes, the CBN would make sure that every customer gets their last dime back. No need to fear.

The banking sector in my country is well established with limited number of banks that have huge capital base and a reserve ratio of 10%. It is almost an assured industry.

I feel confident in entrusting my hard earned money to the bank. The stability and reliability of the banking system in my country have been proven time and again, giving me peace of mind knowing that my funds are secure.

I have been banking with one particular bank for 12 years now and I never heard any stories. I trust them to the core as they have branches internationally.

I trust the the banks where I keep my deposits, but I also have an account to transfer money to in a government-run bank in case I feel foul play in the privately run operators that I have kept my money on. The government-run banks are slow and technologically lacking but they are the most accountable ones

No i do not trust any banks. All banks are trying ways to charge us money. Hence, transfer all funds to another bank when the rates are higher

I trust the banks to some extent because they are regulated and are insured. This is what provides some peace of mind.

The banks have invested heavily in cybersecurity but we need to understand that no system is entirely immune to breaches which is why it is always good to use a strong password.
