Hi Fergal a short question:

Is this one-off payment for a domain name or there will be recurring fees (i.e. monthly or annually) in future?

Thanks for your question BitCastDaily. This is a one off payment to register the domain. The domain is then pushed to your own Namecheap account and you will have full control over the domain. Domains have a registration fee that is applied every year, this fee will be payable to the domain name registrar (Namecheap in this instance). You will need to pay that annual registration fee, of approximately $10, in order to keep the domain.

I am getting a dot in domain for $5 on GoDaddy so I think, I should go with Godaddy. Thanks for your response.

Thanks for your reply jobless dude, all the domains we register for ForumCoin are with Namecheap. I stopped using GoDaddy some time ago, because personally I find them quite user unfriendly and am prepared to pay a little more to Namecheap for a better service.

Fergal wrote:Get a free domain name (.com, .net, .org, .info etc) in exchange for 900 Forum Coin.

To request your domain please send me a PM with the domain you would like to register and your NameCheap username.

Before we can push a domain to you, you must allow that permission on NameCheap. Here's how;
NameCheap > Account > Profile > Security > Edit (Incoming Invitations) > then tick the box "To accept ownership of domains"

Also please ensure that you have added contact details to your NameCheap account, otherwise they won't allow us push a domain to you.

This service is provided without warranty or guarantee.

It could be worth editing your post and letting members know that premium domains on there marketplace on Namecheap are excluded.

Since the price has increased for a domain name on Namecheap, should the FC price to buy one be increased?

Good point, I may increase the price in the near future. It's been quite some time, since anyone availed of this offer :)

This offer is for a domain name only. It does not include any hosting.
