Not just an academic article, even self-improvement or health based articles need to have facts and figures right. You could be misleading people otherwise. Your solution and health tips need to have solid scientific base, just suggesting things off the cuff is not right.
I try to be very careful with such things in my articles. I always like to quote studies and scientific data

I visit blogs that has a topic that I am really interested in. I love reading as a way of learning. Reading other people's opinions on a topic really helps to learn.

If your blog is attractive
if your blog is informative, challenging and well updated.
If your blog doesn't have those horrifying ads plastered all over the place.

Today I found one blog that excited me so much I think I spent the last hour and a half binge reading.

Quest for knowledge . You will be amazed to see the amount of knowledge you can gain from a good blog. Ideas are more expressed in simpler forms through blogs. Also I do improve my writing ability by reading other peoples blog

I read blogs when there is something interesting from the title itself. We never knew what the inside of the blog but because it has a catchy title so ooi go for it.

I was writing an article the other day and I came across some research that says people decide whether they want to read your blog/article or not in the first 15 seconds of being on your site. That is the attention span of an average reader online.
So, it's best to keep your articles short, in bullet points and make it easily scanable with subheadings.
That is what can draw the average reader in 15 seconds flat.

What makes me read blogs can be summed up to A.B.C. AUTHENTICITY. BOLDNESS. COMPENDIOUSNESS. Authenticity makes one be reminded that humans have flaws and impurities. It is the reality that one must accept and embrace. Authentic and raw emotions and experiences written in blogs tell us there is beauty in ugly and ugly in beauty. Boldness in blogs gives us a dose of reality that not every truth is pleasant to the ear. Compendiousness of words is important as a few second of stipulation leads one to boredom. Keep it simple and relatable and you will have everyone's attention.

If the blogs are about possible earning sites then I want to read it and even follow the writer. It's good to be well informed and updated in this online world.
