Fortunately we have so many different channels on youtube and about so many subjects that we could spend all our days watching videos... This means that there are lots of competition in almost all kinds of channels. Before create a new channel we must think, research and create a plan because all channels will need some investment (our time, cameras and lots of other things).

It's true about the advice channels. It doesn't really cost much to offer guidance. Any subject you can think of under the sun, there is an audience out there ready for it. The advice channels tend to have a high number of subscribers and regular supporters. If you are skilled and experienced in a particular area then you'd be the perfect candidate to offer advice on it. People are really desperate for guidance so something like this could be worth a try.

Another cheap way to make videos with Youtube is lore analysis of each character from a game. There are channels that depends on those kind of content.

These are all very good ideas but do not necessarily suit some personality types such as myself For someone who loves to talk and interact with people from all walks of life, I'm not good with being recorded and being under the spotlight. I wish I wasn't but I am, sadly.
