The COVID-19 infections are increasing in your country but the USA tops all countries in deaths. That's not exactly a shining report card.

The US is a very big country, bigger than Europe, my country, Portugal, is a small one, our rate of infections are higher than anywhere else when we see the number of our population.

Yeah but ... USA is supposed to have top quality medical care and facilities and we can mobilize the military to assist with the handling of a health crisis. So? I think some of those deaths could have been prevented. It bothers me.

I think every country should have used all their means to prevent the virus to spread and help to take care of those infected. Unfortunately, the great majority of the countries are only know seeing how severe this is.

Yeah OK. I'll do Donald Trump impersonation on this.

Yes! This virus is something the likes of which we've never seen.

My take regarding face masks is this- everyone has a right to decide what is best for them. Unless you live in a communist nation where you can be jailed or even worse killed for not following government orders, you have a right to refuse to wear masks if it impedes any preexisting medical condition you may have. I know people who literally can’t breathe when they put on this mask that is supposed to protect them. So it’s really a personal choice.

They should not impose their personal choice though in establishments where masks are mandatory. I know someone with ashtma and still wears mask with no problem. If they dont want to wear a mask, stay at home.

At the congregation where I worship there are people who are not wearing masks because of a medical condition. However, they are wearing face shields and social distancing, etc. LOOK! If you already sick with a medical condition and you don't take action to protect yourself against complicating your health condition with a deadly virus ... well then ... I suppose you just want to commit slow suicide.
