The problem is not with having cheap food.
The problem is a lot of times, the shelves are empty.

It’s great that you have Walmart and Dollar Tree nearby, but it’s frustrating when shelves are empty. Having access to affordable food is important, and I hope those stores can fix the supply issues so you can always find what you need.

I can attest that the local farmers market is an ideal venue for sourcing fresh produce.
If you are careful enough, you could even get access to organically produced food.

I completely agree! Farmers markets are great for fresh, quality produce. With a little care, you can find organic options too. Do you often shop there?

All of these sources of cheap food are not available in my country apart from buying directly from the farm gate. That's the common way we get cheap food here.

Buying straight from farmers is one of the best ways to get fresh, affordable food. You get the freshest produce and help local farmers at the same time. Even if there are no discount stores nearby, buying directly from farms often means better quality and lower prices. Sometimes you can even get discounts when buying in bulk during harvest time.

That's unfortunately very common in many places.. University campuses often have monopolized food services that can charge premium prices since students have limited alternatives. It's frustrating when you're already dealing with tuition costs and then face expensive meal plans too.

Buying from local farmers has helped me save money during this summer season. I know of people who own farmhouses and get abundance of.produce, more than what they can consume. I have got good quality mangoes from them at much cheaper rates. Moreover, they grow it for personal use and so make sure that these are grown in organic way avoiding any pesticides use or artificial ripeners. They are fresh from farm and more safe to consume.

That sounds like a great deal.. Buying fresh, organic mangoes from local farmers is really a win-win. You save money, support local farmers, and the mangoes must be way better and healthier than what you find in stores.
