I also work in QA, doing software QA using automated software testing tools. What type of QA are you working on?

Have you done any third level education?

Thank you for the questions, Fergal :)

What type of QA are you working on?

I started as a manual tester. And now testing the Java application with Selenium WebDriver.

Have you done any third level education?

I graduated as an Electronics & Communication Engineer and after that did the post graduate business administration IT degree. No third level education as of yet.

You seem to post a lot of ideas for different types of businesses. Do you mainly do so for discussion and informational purposes, or are you seeking to start a business of your own?

I am registering one LLP (Limited liability partnership) with one of my relative. And setting up a business for android app development. So most of the threads and the questions are relating to acquiring information from others so that I can avoid mistakes from the tips shared by others :D

Thanks for your answers skysnap.

I did the same myself, except I use an automated testing tool called Ranorex. I haven't used Selenium as of yet, but may learn it some day. Good to meet someone here who does the same kind of work.

That would be considered third level education here in Ireland. Perhaps the term is used differently in different countries, but in Ireland third level means any education after school, i.e. any college or university education. Those qualifications sound great, congratulations and well done.

How did you go about learning Selenium?

Manual testing jobs in India are getting frequent layoff's over the years. And my struggle to secure job put me into learning new skills such as Selenium, JMeter, NUnit, and Load Runner. And finally landed into selenium job.

Yes I am active on mylot. Apart from that i spend time on Niume, Forumforu, Indiastudychannel, Upwork and freelancer. I don't know if youtube counts as other online earning sites but I also have youtube channel named - Devnami.

Reading from your comments and questions above, I have two questions:

1) Do you ever want to run a forum like FC?

2) If you have a forum, would it be just for India or global?

I'd love to run a forum like FC. In past I have managed forums on computing as an admin, also worked as a moderator on health forum. This was during 2002-2005. After that I didn't created my own forums or worked on other forums either. So forum like FC where the revenue shared with users, is something I'd love to create if god gives me that strength.

2) If you have a forum, would it be just for India or global?

Obviously Global. I like diversity. I have learned a lot from people around the world. I'd definitely keep things global.

Agreed. I have learned a great deal as well, and I have met some excellent people from across the globe.

That's a good range of skills on widely used testing tools, well done on doing all that. Did you teach yourself using online courses, or some other way?

I learned HP QTP through one of the coaching institute here. But it turned out to be very expensive for the value offered. So I decided any future skill to be taken online and not to waste money on offline tutors and coaching institutes. So selenium and other skills learned through youtube, udemy and few other sites.

Follow up on your answer, since you seeem to have the knowledge and skill set:

1) What would it take to create a forum? Obviously, we are not talking about the earning part of it, but more on the technical terms: set up, domain name, rules and regulations, TOS, FAQ, etc..

2) How would you deal with spam posters? How many warning before a user is banned for good.

I think you're an interesting man, since you post many interesting topics, which I really enjoy reading and replying :)

I noticed your profile picture is of Byakuya Kuchiki from Bleach, at least I think that is who it is. Do you watch bleach? Is he your fav character? And do you watch any other animes?

In order to setup forum, you need hosting that can sustain regular activity from members. You also need domain name that suits the forum niche. You can learn a lot about managing forums part and growing it on forums like theadminzone.com. You can learn a lot about setting up community website and managing it. It's kind of hard work and it's not easy to get lot of members who post on it these days, due to social media and facebook groups. But it's doable. But from technical point of view, setting up forum on hosting, mappint it with domain, handling SEO part is easy but takes some time to get it done.

2) How would you deal with spam posters? How many warning before a user is banned for good.

Spam posters can be dealt with the plugin or extension if they are bot. But if the genuine posters are spammig then it's hard to make a call. You have to either lock the thread and discuss stuff in PM. Banning should be the last option. But all of this depends on situation and forum niche. Because intentional spam is different in each forums. Bot spam is easy to recognize and deal with.

Yes :D It is kuchiki byakuya. It is one of my favorite characters. I liked Urahara and Aizen the most out of all in the series. And I watch a lot of anime. Though I spend lot of time reading horror manga or anime. Sometimes I also watch anime like FMA, Berserk, Monster etc. Recently I have started reading "The promised Neverland" manga.

Based on a lot of your posts here at ForumCoin, you obviously have a huge interest in business. Do you run your own offline business, and if you do, what is it doing? Or if you don't, if money weren't an object, what would your dream business to run be and why?

No offline business as of yet. But yes I want to have one good offline business that can take care of my online and offline clients. I wish to start restaurant business and offer different variety of asian food - chinese, thai, indian and other food. It's kind of expensive and also lot of money for all this. So I may work on all possible business ideas to reach there.
