I was wondering with all kinds of donations coming in from celebrities, sports people, politicians etc to the national or state relief funds in their respective countries; could we here at ForumCoin, donate some FC per person for this cause?
May be 10/20 FC. The combined amount might not be big, but a good gesture towards folks facing crisis.

It sounds like a good idea but to whom would we make the donations? I have seen World Health Organization banners online wherein individuals make random donations. Are you proposing something similar here? However we materialize this, count me in.

I think it is a good idea and every donation can make a difference. Not sure if Fergal i interested in running something like this. If not, I might look into a way to do something like this here where users donate FC and I convert it to $ and donate it online to WHO for example and post proof of the donation.

They are a lot of folks facing this crisis and there are already so many different ways people are being helped. At least where I live, they are being helped. This is a good idea but I can't participate.

I would be happy to match any donations made until we get to a certain level. E.g. if members made ForumCoin donations worth $25 I will pass on that $25 plus a matching $25 to the charity. I can commit up to $100 in matching funding, if we get close to that $100 I will let members know if we will cap it there or if I can offer more.

As CyberFreak has told, we can make a mass contribution from this site to WHO. For our own PM fund, we can donate separately.

Thanks everyone for your support. We can donate the money to WHO via Google and Google will match the donations made. If members donate $25 worth of ForumCoin, I will match that and donate $50 via Google. Google will then match that $50 bringing the total donation to $100.
