Sports Betting

Postby Cloudlin » 11 May 2015, 06:09

I just won my first sports bet today! :D :D :D
I've always wanted to get into sports betting but I never actually made the time to look into it.
Well, it only took 10 minutes of Google "research" and apparently two good sites are pinnaclesports and 3Dimes. I went with the first, and made my minimum deposit of $50 CAD.

It took another 30 minutes or so to figure out what the sport betting terms mean and how to bet. In the under/over game, I bet $30 on the combined score of the Clippers vs Rockets game to be over 214 points.

Any of you guys are into sports betting? :)

Sounds like my betting experiences. If only I could bet on my losing money, I'd be rich. :D

That's why I stick to sports market trading on Betfair. (Google it.)

I was never good with betting because my talent lies elsewhere.

pinnaclesports has gambling games too, but aside from that I don't know. I'm not very good at poker and such.

Its actually more complicated than I thought it out to be. There are different "game" modes you can bet on. The simplest is moneyline where you bet on the winning or losing team. There are other games like how much the total score will be over and under, if a team will lose or win by how much, etc. The odds you bet on come from a "book" the website looks onto and can vary from site to site.

Yeah, the number of markets can be crazy. In soccer/football, you have things like over/under, number of goals, first player to score, actual score, winning team at half-time, win/lose/draw, number of corners etc. Bonkers. :D
