We've had a lot of great Magic: The Gathering collaborations over the years, with Final Fantasy, Deadpool, Chucky, and Ghostbusters being some of the most recent ones. However, a new collaboration is on the horizon, and this time we're welcoming Marvel's own Spider-Man into Magic: The Gathering.
The Spider-Man collaboration was revealed during the North American International Toy Fair in New York, as a part of Hasbro's own lineup. According to Hasbro, the new set is launching on September 26th, and it will bring a huge range of cards, from Venom to Green Goblin, Doc Ock, but also iconic items like Doc Ock's Tentacles or the Goblin's pumpkin bombs.
How much is the Magic: The Gathering Spider-Man set going to cost?
The Play Booster will cost you $6.99, while the Collector Booster will cost $37.99. Additionally, if you buy a scene box, the MSRP for that will be $41.99, while the Bundle costs $69.99. These items are available for preorder in select locations, so it's a good idea to secure yours today if you want to acquire these amazing new cards.
What will you find in a Play Booster? What about the Scene Box?
If you get the Magic: The Gathering Spider-Man Play Booster, each box will have 30 play boosters. In there, you have 14 Magic: The Gathering cards. You'll have 0-1 MAR, 1 basic land, a traditional foil of any rarity, a mythic or rare card, a wild card of any rarity, along with 3 uncommons and 6-7 common cards. Additionally, it will also have a non-foil double-sided token.
When it comes to the Scene Box, it will have 3 Play Boosters, along with 6 art cards and 1 display easel. The box will also have 6 traditional foil borderless scene cards. These are the Grasping Tentacles, Venom, Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Sensational Spider-Man, and Pumpkin Bombs. Aside from these, you can also find the Black or White welcome decks, along with the Red, Green, and Blue ones.
It's also important to note that there are some pre-release packs already available as well. These have 6 play boosters, a deck box, a spindown die and 1 traditional foil that's year-stamped and which is either a mythic or rare card

Is there a collector booster pack?
Absolutely, there will be collector boosters for the Spider-Man collaboration as well. Each one of the collector booster boxes has 12 collector boosters, and each of them will include 15 Magic: The Gathering cards, along with 1 art card or a double-sided token, traditional foil. Regarding the cards, you will have 1 traditional foil booster, 1 MAR card, 2 non-foil booster fun, mythic or rare cards, but also 1 traditional foil basic land, 1 traditional foil mythic/rare, 4 traditional foil uncommons, and 5 traditional foil common cards.
What should you know about Spider-Man's set legality?
The new Spider-Man set will be a Standard Legal Set. The Eternal-Legal (MAR and SPE) will be Commander, Legacy, and Vintage legal sets. Moreover, individual cards will also be legal where available. If you acquire the play boosters, these will have cards from MAR and SPM.
