Everytime I activate data on my mobile, all apps will automatically download and update. Even those apps that I don't use often will do the same and accumulate my data cap. I am tired and looking for how to stop this behavior.

Are you on an Android phone, if so try this:

Open the Google Play Store app
Tap your profile icon in the top right corner
Tap Settings
Tap Network preferences > Auto-update apps
Choose Don’t auto-update apps
Tap Done.

Thank you. I set the automatic update to off including at WiFi and Mobile data. I want to be in control of what should be updated. It worked thank you.

Yes it's better that way, so they won't suck all your data in updating some apps you don't make use of regularly. Or when you are trying to manage your data.

True and this option saved me the data that has been moving faster.
