It just needed an overnight getaway. But seriously, since using tiktok I learned a ,lot of different things, became friends with a lot of people, and even bought some things from different shops. I hope it gets to stay with us. This way here I can continue to grow and get some great things

Right now they rather see Americans use Tiktok again than Americans use rednote. They find rednote scarier since its 100 percent Chinese owned. Tiktok is partly Chinese owned.

Tiktok has been banned in India since 2020 - the year when there was a Border skirmish between India and China.
Things have normalized a lot but I do not think the ban would be lifted.
Plus I think its short duration format was like YT Shorts and is reducing the attention span of the public a lot.

Indeed, a storm in a teacup! I saw a lot of small scale business owners complaining about the unfairness of the ban and wondered if it'd hold. I thought in the end, the US government decided to go with a ban across government departments only... how did that go? Did they try for a blanket US ban?

Unbanning tiktok never stopped Americans from joining rednote and now people in duolingo trying to learn Mandarin increased.
