built-in notebooks dvd players

Postby Pousinha » 28 Jan 2021, 21:51

Until years ago, when I lived in my former country, it was easy to find notebooks where a dvd player was built-in. Now, in Latin America, I'm seeing no one. No matter how advanced feature the device presents, no one of them, whatever brand, carries a built-in dvd player. I'm asking what would be the end of my dvds when my Toshibas sat will say good-bye forever...

DVD player is to fat and it has to much weight. This is why manufacuter don't add into laptops anymore.
Also coulds and USB drives kick out DVD so less and less people use it now. Movies went into stream service and files into clouds.

It would be good if we were able to convert our DVDs favourite movies into files able being stored into pendrives (I'm not happy to lose my beloved movies, classic literature based  ).

ps: in any way, mega-stores like Amazon still sell only DVDs format movies...I couldn't find any downloadable mode movie into Amazon :?
