Nokia's Potential

Postby Cloudlin » 29 Apr 2015, 10:20

Back before android existed, I loved using Nokia phones for the superior build quality and symbian OS was nice too.

Now that Microsoft has bought them, do you think Nokia's potential as being one of the best smartphone company is somewhat wasted?

I'm a little sad that i will never have a nokia phone with Android OS.

Hey !

I use to have an Nokia with Android a couple years ago. It had been one of my greatest phone ever (except for iPhone :))

I don't think they will go back to Android, but I don't think Microsoft will waste the Nokia brand, they would do something for sure.

Yep, they existed !

Windows mobile is ok, I love it but I think it use a lot of RAM, which make the tablet slower.

The new ones are really nice! I went to the Microsoft store to try it out. It would be great for class note-taking, but I guess I'll have to stick with paper and pen for now

Nokia was really a good phone, I still have one but the charging port is broken and no one could fix it here :(
But Microsoft has completely spoiled it.

Right now I really don't see a big future for Amazon/windows phones/devices. They might have some good tech in them, but nothing that Apple/Android can't compete with. People pick favorites easily, and Nokia devices are very hard for me personally to find even a little bit likable.

I remember the hype about phones back then, it was always: NOKIA! NOKIA!

Nowadays, it's all about Android and iOS

Aw, now I miss my old Nokia phones. Very nostalgic.

Hopefully Nokia gets back on the market.

Yes... I was using a nokia phone last year. It was pretty durable, and good to. Sadly they didn't keep up with the smartphone age.

I did watch on TV something about Nokia still being very strong in China? Not sure if it's true...

It's very hard to compete in a market that's totally dominated with iOS and Android devices, but I think their success will solely rely on what OS they would continue their phones on and I think going the Android route is going to be more successful compared to sticking with their Windows OS.

I think Nokia is still strong in the Philippines. Our family has one, even my friend has his own too.

Well, Nokia haven't vanished on the market yet, their keypad phones ( cell phones ) still makes up a large portion on the market, their usability and rugged feel admires me.
