Can you still live the life without too much gadgets and technology?
Well I can and do at times try to reduce the usage but cannot do without it- it is a basic necessity in certain terms. But no, I never use mobile when driving or walking on the road unlike many others.

[quote="OldGuy"]Although I have a smart phone, I am not addicted to it at all. I often use it at home, but it is not unusual for me to leave it on the desk at home when I go out, mostly because I just forget about it. I use it for phone calls and occasional text, but because I have never been able to hear conversation without using the speaker phone, I have never held it against my head during use. I'm glad I never got addicted to it, and now I guess I am glad I have hearing problems after seeing this video.
I just happened to run across this youtube video that might make you rethink using "gadgets", particularly smart phones. It is about 11 and a half minutes of some very startling health effects you probably never knew.

It is good that you have control over your gadgets. Many people are "controlled" by them.
