Cosy games (or Cozy games in American English) are video games which are generally non violent and relaxing to play. Things like The Sims, Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley, and games where you just build or design things.

Do you play cosy games? If you do, do you have a favourite? What do you like about it?

Never played nor heard of them. I am simply going to do a search now. Are there mobile versions for Android?

Oh i never knew they had a name for games like this, yes i have played a few of them before and they where really fun to play.

It's a whole category of games so yeah, there are probably mobile versions. I don' t know because I don't play games on my phone. It's better for me not to have that distraction with me everywhere.

I don't play games, never found them appealing. But yes, I am aware of this category of games. My daughters used to play Temple Run, Minecraft etc. I think these games are non violent and fun. They must be belonging to the category of cosy games.

I'm not familiar with Temple Run but I would say you could call Minecraft a cosy game.


Another I've come across is 'Hidden Cats'. It's a hidden object game, a bit like a 'Where's Wally?' (or Where's Waldo) book. You find the cats in a picture as it times you and plays music. As you complete a section it gets coloured in. I find it calming and a level takes me about 15 minutes to complete so it's good to do on a lunch break.

I haven’t played any myself, but I've heard about some games like Stardew valley and Rune Factory.
