Microsoft seems to be leading new technology for more secure online activity. According to the article, you can no longer add any new passwords as of June 2025. Autofill will no longer work by July and all saved passwords will be deleted by August 2025. You now have to set up a passkey linked to your devices to access your online sites, at least anything controlled by Microsoft.

Does it apply to all Microsoft related sites including Hotmail email?.I have one that I use but can't even remember the password since it is saved. And sometimes I sign in using Google as there is that option. Will I be able to access it or it will prompt recovery?

I encountered the news article and posted the topic at that time. If you read the article, you will know all that I know. However, it does say that all password data will be deleted in their records in August for every product they offer. You will have to follow the instructions and establish your passkey before that happens.
