At any rate, I don't trust the medical profession enough to allow them to play with my brain.
If there is no side effects and you have the money, then I would also go for it. Looks to be a better deal when it comes to fighting depression.Netherrealmer wrote:There's this cutting-edge depression treatment called SAINT, and it's wild. Forget weekly therapy or meds, we're talking a $30,000 machine that promises to boost your mood in just five days. Apparently, it uses a souped-up version of TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation), but way more intense and targeted. They do a precise MRI scan to map your brain, then the machine fires magnetic pulses at specific areas, like the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex, which is known to be involved in mood regulation. Research suggests this accelerated approach might induce neuroplasticity faster, basically rewiring your brain. Some studies showed significant improvement in patients who didn't respond to other treatments. It's still pretty new and expensive, but if it really delivers on those results, it could be a game-changer for people struggling with severe depression. Imagine, feeling drastically better in less than a week! It's like something straight out of science fiction, but with real potential.
