How did you choose your bank?

Postby chicnthin » 01 Jul 2019, 22:52

It is very important factor that needs to consider when choosing a bank to deposit in is when it is stable and secured. Branch availability is also essential, especially when it comes to emergency needs.

There are so many branches of most of the bank around my city, and we can withdraw from any ATM, and only need to pay MYR1 for withdrawing from other banks' ATM machine, which doesn't cost a lot, yet I don't really go to branch, thus it's no much difference for choosing either one.
But, I am very concern on choosing a credit card which will give as much as cash rebate as possible. :P   :$:

I choose my current bank Kotak because their debit and credit cards are usable in international sites. And that's why I am with that bank.

I am wondering about the experience of the small banks vs. big banks.
When it comes to savings:
Do the small banks pay a rate of interest that competes favorably with the big banks?

For loans:
Is the interest rate charged to you for a loan more favorable than the rate charged by the big banks?
