I know they pay in Steems, don't know exactly the value in $. You can have a lot of friends there but if they don't have power their votes worth anything, that is the main problem of steemit, if whales don't upvote your content it will take you ages to have some power,

I learned it the hard way, spent all my power before I knew there was such a thing.
The site is surely slow at first. Feels like you need courses before you sign up.

Well this site sound like It's not worth my time joining. I like sites where I join and can start earning right away. But it does sound interesting however.

Are you a member of this site? I sounds good but needs a lot of time to build up connections and to earn. Hope you get paid there..

I just read a review by a member of another site, she did not seem to have a good opinion about the way seemeit works and quit it, because of the close knit groups there that made her feel like an outsider and even bullied her. I have read some of her other posts and felt that it could be a honest review. I am not hundred percent sure if it is an unbiased review.

Earlier Steemit was paying well but from some time I am not hearing much about it and don't know if how I can earn from it.

I think one will earn there as long as you have some alliance. If you are only starting definitely you'll be having a hard time.

But I do love to chat so I have to stop by everyday.

There are a lot of people in bitlanders who are on steemit.
I have been watching their discussions closely and it seems you need friends who are already high up to help you out. Sounds like it is very clannish and it is particularity difficult for a newbie to do well on steemit.
I wanted to give it a try and check it out but I am somehow feeling uncomfortable.
Is anyone here doing well on steemit? I don't mind joining as your referral.

It can earn good if the price of STEEM and SBD is higher. Otherwise it is not worth it. Lot of work. Plus they earn from your content but you cant earn passively.

"It is free to post, comment, or vote on all content on Steemit.com. You might even get paid for it!"

So, the word 'might' is interesting. I'm trying to understand this site - it seems you'll get pay to post but you will share the reward with the people who upvote it. You'll get 75% and they'll get 25%.

"The author reward is paid 50% in Steem Power and 50% in STEEM/SBD by default."

Like FC, they have their own coins/currency. Anyway, I gave up on trying to understand by reading the on the site itself. Here's a helpful link:

Could you elaborate what 'they earn from your content but you cant earn passively' means . I read the FAQ sounds too complicated . obviously people seem to be making a decent amount there. However, as I said its clannish ( lots of people from one country) and these people seem to nudge and push one another up.

I read that too, they author is right, it is pretty confusing.
