Yeah, I will concede that it is not too difficult to find freelance data entry work here and there, but there doesn't appear to be actual websites where the majority of the earning premise is data entry work. At least not decent paying ones.

I have seen many data entry sites but not even care about that, because I know all of them are scams.I don't want to waste my time there.Instead I search forum like FC to find good opportunities.

When I was still starting to try to be working online aside from article writing a data entry work also interests me. But when I had learned that it is not that easy to find a legit site for this kind of online job I did not push through in searching for this anymore. But maybe if ever I will be able to find a legit one I can give it a try. And it is better that I will have other options of work online.

Scams in what way? As in they don't pay up once you have cashed out? Or as in they pay you so little, it is not worth anybody's time?

I've never found one yet that offers a real "data entry job" as claimed. There might be a few bits of it in some microtask sites, but it doesn't amount to a "job" at all. It's usually just a way for them to get you in the door. Lots of them seem to be low paying task sites or ads that want you to pay to sign up for work.

Well, first they ask for money when you register and then give you a few jobs. Someone I know paid the fees and joined up one such jobs. She did a whole bunch of work for more than 15 days according to their specifications. When she submitted her work, they rejected it saying it was not according to their specifications. They refused to pay although she had followed all instructions and there was not a single error in her job. She lost her money!

How disheartening!
The nasty fraudsters!
Why wait for one to toil for a fortnight, then reject her work?

Welcome to online earning world! This is how some fake sites are! Really disheartening. The writing sites are worst as you really work hard and earn good, look forward to cashout and just when you are a tip away from cashing out, you get a low rating and you are banned!

So, does this mean there is not a single decent, paying, legit data entry site?
Your posts suggest this is the case!

Oh, so they charge you to work for them? I can't believe that that sort of things is still happening. One of the most blatant marks of a scam is when they require you to pay them in order to work for them.

It is very difficult to land a genuine data entry site. It is full of scams and pay peanuts after you have done a lot of work for them.

It's so bad on the data entry front, that I literally have not looked for this field of work online in years. So i am sort of shocked that it is still the same landscape - that it has not evolved. Most other avenues of online earning seems to have evolved over the years.

I came across this yesterday, if anyone is interested. I HAVE NOT worked on this site. I'm only passing along the link for informational purposes. You'll have to do your own research or check it out yourself. I can say that have found some other legit opportunities on the main site where this was found. In fact, I think it's where I first found out about Post Loop.

Quite sad to suffer such a rejection after all the commitment for more than two weeks. What they are also passing across indirectly is they don't care about how committed or dedicated a member could be at working on their site. I am assumimg it's not a fake or scam site.

In an offline world, there is really a data entry job and it is more on a data analysis combine with encoding. I worked in a data analysis company before and it has a lot of analysis of the documents and you will be encoding this to the SAP system. The work contract just ended but I enjoyed that job so much. I wonder if there is something like that online.

To date, has no FC user identified/ mentioned a legit data entry site?
This is disturbing!
