That link is actually 'a shortened link' (which I may or may not make any money on ... CB Click is tracking it for me; it's actually an 'interstitial' (a redirect that sends you to a promo page from which you click a link to see 'the page I'm sending you to')).

The page I'm sending you to invites you to use their "free short URL redirection service with a twist. Get paid for links you share on the internet." 'Essentially' (I've been using that word a lot), it's the same thing as CB Click ... except you GET PAID for the ad they display on your 'interstitial' page (currently " up to $22.50 per 1000 visits to your short URL").

I hope you have success. Every time I have tried to use those link shorteners it never worked out. One of them would redirect people first to porn sites and then eventually get them to the landing page. I did not appreciate that because if they were going to do that, they should have told me upfront. They made it seem like all I had to do was shorten the link and I would earn. On top of that, I didn't earn anything!

Well, in this--as in all opportunities--the money (though it's the initial 'reason for joining' and it also serves as 'a reason to keep at it when the business doesn't seem to be doing anything useful') is really only 'incidental'---it's kind of 'what keeps the gears spinning' as we use it to accomplish our goals (world peace, fun friendship, comedy, whatever).

22$ is to big CPM. I read if anybody offer more than 3$ will lose money and go into scam. Maybe for some promotion. Or it will have million ads and several redirects.

It's really more like a side-earning project---if you're already working with a huge project that 'stands up on its own' (like you're a webmaster for a brick-&-mortar (i.e. real life) store or a paper-and-ink publication), you can use AdFocus on the site's links & earn a little side-money with them.

AdFocus justifies that big price by being VERY demanding in their terms-&-conditions ... i.e. it's not like 'putting ads in your publications,' but instead the advertisers are paying for 'displays of their individual pages' (i.e. when someone clicks on a shortened link, it opens 'a framed page (that the advertisers are paying to display'; and a link on that frame leads to the site you link-to).
