Plug Postloop is returning

Postby Cedric V » 07 Apr 2025, 18:48

Hello everyone,

First of all, a bit about me. My name is Cedric. I've been managing communities for over two decades. My current community is called Administrata. I have always been in the admin forum niche. Helping out communities is what I like. I'm not the original owner of Postloop, but I’m bringing back a post exchange service — and yes, the name Postloop might just return with it.

I’m not doing this for a quick buck. I’ve always been passionate about helping online communities grow and thrive - that’s why I run Administrata and why I want to rebuild something like Postloop. If there's a way to make this work sustainably for both writers and site owners, I’m willing to put in the time.

So is Postloop returning? There isn't exactly a short answer yet.

Postloop was once the go-to marketplace for forums, blogs, and content creators to connect with active, quality contributors. Members earned rewards for participating in discussions, posting on blogs, and helping build thriving online communities. It was definitely a better online world then. We also remember TheForumWheel. A very similar service that bite the dust unfortunately.

We do feel there is still a need for a platform like Postloop. Maybe not exactly as it was 10 years ago, but the demand is still there. We're willing to give it another go. The new Postloop is currently under development, reimagined for a modern era of content platforms. Now, we need to be honest. A platform like Postloop is a huge undertaking development-wise. This is going to take a few weeks to even months to go from a concept to something you can use. And even after launch, the work doesn’t stop. We'll be continuously evolving to keep things running smoothly and adapt to your needs.

We’re exploring some fresh ideas. Things like a tiered writer system paired with reviews and ratings, a clean dashboard, easier payouts, and stronger quality control. The new Postloop won’t just be a revival. It would be a reinvention, shaped by what worked and what didn’t.

At the moment there is no 100% guarantee this will return. But we're looking into possibilities as we speak and if there is any progress, then we'll notify you through the Announcements forum.

This forum serves as a gateway for your thoughts and feedback on the Postloop revival. Were you disappointed when the original Postloop went offline? What do you wish had been improved? Help us shape the next version into something even better.

If you're curious to follow this project, feel free to register, join the discussion, and subscribe to the Announcements section. Even just dropping a quick hello helps us know the interest is there. :)

Much thanks,
Cedric

I remember you rejected me and accepted people who have worst English than me and doesn't know what they talk about. I thrived better in Forumwheel and became mod of some of the forums until it also suffered the same fate.I have to warn you A.I users will be a huge headache.

Hi Cedric V, it would be exciting to see Postloop return. What was your involvement in the original Postloop?

It would be nice if postloop returns, but that's if it would be open to those who do not have access to PayPal.

Sorry you had to experience that. I didn't reject you, but the original owner did. That was 10 years ago and more. I see that your English is more than sufficient, so you'd be welcome to join back whenever you want to.

Nothing on the management-side. I was a customer using the service. But I'm a firm believer we can still use a Postloop platform today. If there's anything I can do to help forums and other communities thrive, then I will explore and do that. One of my biggest focus for this project is giving quality to community owners, but also giving those who do the hard work (the paid posters) a fair paycheck.

PayPal is the most obvious choice. But we'd also be giving out giftcards to redeem, and possibly crypto on a later timeline.

I had very little experience on Postloop.

I was a newbie to forums and found Postloop and Forum Coin around about the same time. I left Postloop even before it shut down because I adapted quicker to Forum Coin.

At any rate, I hope “the new Postloop” will be successful.

I've purchased https://postloop.net/ - which currently has a XenForo forum to keep everyone up to date easily. And allow some talking about the platform meanwhile.

Hi, If Postloop is coming back, I welcome it. I was already a member then, and I am ready to join and share information and knowledge with fellow user members if it is coming back. Of course, I wish and suggest that the rates for threads and posts (replies) should be appreciable and encourage one to join. Congrats, and best of luck in your endeavor.

You will attain success if you focus on these aspects.
Quality control should be given the highest priority.
All the best.

Yes most places like my location do not have access to PayPal, but if there would be option for giftcard and maybe crypto in the future then it's still cool.

Hi, Cedric! What great news :) I hope you pull it off. The original PostLoop was my very first online earner. I liked and hated it in equal measure because I made good money off it but hated it because in the end, it got very weird because forum owners weren't monitored properly. That being the case, some turned into bullies and would block people for no reason, marking them down and outright lying about their writing skills or lack thereof. If you dared disagree with them, you were toast.

If indeed you're able to bring PostLoop back, I'd be very happy because I still have a soft spot for it. But I'd recommend that it be very closely monitored and bad apples chucked out. Looks good so far. I'd definitely be interested in joining. All the best :)
