A US man is planning to have one of his testicles chopped off to sell it to scientists for £22,000.
Mark Parisi will appear on a reality TV show undergoing surgery to have a testicle removed and replaced with an artificial orb.
"What you do is you go in and you donate one of your testicles, they replace it with an artificial one and when you check out after 14 days you get a cheque for $35,000," he said.
Mr Parisi, from Las Vegas, regularly enrols in clinical trials for money but says he is "anxious, anxious and excited" ahead of this study.
He is to be featured on the aptly named Extreme Cheapskates programme in the US.

That's a lot of money.

That seem painful.Its unwise to sell body parts especially when you are alive.

This is pretty funny story though in real life, there any many people whose willing to sell their body parts in-exchange of money. I've watched so many documentaries about poor families who have sell one part of their kidneys so they can have money to buy some food.Sounds awful but this is happening in reality.

Hmmm...wonder what they'll do with it? Is there something odd about it that makes it valuable? I'm not a guy, but I'd have to be absolutely desperate to sell ANY body part! I guess some people are either desperate, or greedy enough to do it.

No I would not entertain such thought regardless of the price. I am too afraid of the knife so even if the cause is good and beneficial I am afraid I do not have the guts to undergo a surgery. I can still help my community in other ways but not this way

Now a days it is common to sell human parts in the market, kidneys are most wanted thing among the body. My friend also require kidneys, he is searching for kidneys.

I think this is insane. It's not even like he's giving it up like an organ transplant to help heal someone else. I get that $35,000 can be life-changing. Selling off your body parts is also life-changing, and not in a good way.
