Dieting or Exercise?

Postby bestwriter » 18 Oct 2025, 02:50

Looking around one notices there are more recommendations for dieting than exercise when it comes to keeping the weight in check

I would any day go for exercise and eat all my favourite food. What is life without food for a foodie like me?

I have done a bit of research and have picked that food that is not only tasty but also healthy The food that I have on a daily basis is honey, curds, boiled egg, bananas, peanut chikki, dark chocolate, apart from the non routine stuff that comes on the table which again is healthy but eaten in moderation such as rice, paneer....

I also have suplements that makes up for that which is not available in my food

Replace white carbohydrates with non-white carbohydrates. For example, instead of white rice, use red or brown rice. Instead of using white sugar, use raw sugar or jaggery. Instead of using white flour, use whole wheat flour. Using low glycemic carbs will make you enjoy some of the carbs you enjoy, but in a more healthier way.

I have white sugar only once while having tea. Jaggery is what we use for our sweet snacks. We are brown rice eaters except on occasions when we make pullao or biryani

We cannot altogether avoid carbohydrates as they too are needed.

I think you're on the right track. I wish I knew how to make paneer because it's one of my absolute favourite food items... probably time to look it up on YouTube  To my mind, as long as we have a balanced diet, eat everything in moderation, keep hydrated and take regular exercise, we should be fine.

Paneer can be made at home but I buy it Hydration is so important and I tend to skip it as I do not feel thirsty

Haha I totally hear you 😄 for a foodie, life without taste is like a movie without sound. Many people emphasize dieting but the truth is that exercise has a very powerful effect on weight control and overall health.

You have chosen very good foods that are tasty and also contain important nutrients. Honey, yogurt, boiled eggs, bananas, peanut chikki and dark chocolate are good choices. And even simple foods like rice and paneer eaten in moderation can be part of a healthy diet 🥗.

Supplementing is also wise especially when food does not meet all the body's needs. If you continue to exercise and eat wisely, you can enjoy your food without risking your health. Keep it up our foodie 💪🍫.

We should take balance diet, with regular exercise. Dieting remain useless when people eat three times more when attend some party.

Plus they are low cost and readily available.
Key reason why poor people are disproportionately obese.

I look forward to creating a food diary the night before. It is like food therapy.

I am not on the keto, but like keto bread. However, I cannot afford keto bread. If bakeries would lower the cost, bakeries would make a fortune.
