First, you need to realize that everyone has his or her own agenda. Things to do, places to go, people to see. We each only have 24 hours in a day and use a third of that just to sleep. I'm not about to jump into action for anyone else if it interrupts my own schedule, even for a boss.
My phone rings or announces incoming text messages several times a day. If I'm out working, I would never get anything done if I stop to respond to or even look at every incoming interruption. I let them pile up until I get a break in my work and only then check the call or text messages.
If there is something that seems particularly urgent I respond if I have the time. If it is not urgent, I figure they can try again when I'm not quite so busy. Otherwise it can wait until I have time to respond. I some cases, I might not even bother to respond if there is no urgency or there is nothing I can do to resolve the issue.
Everyone is on this planet alone with their own issues. If someone decides they can interrupt their own needs to help you, consider it a blessing. Otherwise, just realize they have their own life and their own issues just like you. They just might not be available for your needs at your schedule. Learning that you are not exactly special to anyone else is part of life. Let it slide.
