Do You Cook A Stinking Meal Literally?

Postby Spontaneo » 31 May 2025, 23:11

Every so often, I cook stinking meals.

For example, today, I prepared Crock-Pot Cabbage Soup. My house still stinks, but the soup was OK. I did manage to consume 2 big bowls though!

How about you? What meal is stinking at your house?

I have to say whenever I make fish, the stench lingers around for most of the day. If I put it in the microwave, it can stick to it, meaning I have to scrub it clean. I often use garlic as well, but what now works for me is keeping it to a minimum (like a quarter of a teaspoon for a whole pot of stew, for instance). That way it doesn't cause as much of a stink

I like Gorton's Beer Battered Fish. I cook the fish in an air fryer. The fish does not stink my house.

No, I wouldn't cook something that would make my house smell bad. That's not worth it for me. Sometimes I cook things that make my house smell amazing though, like cookies, or I make mulled wine with spices.

Sometimes if you crave dishes that can stink your house... Just order them in food ordering apps.

Good idea.

Come to think of it, I guess sometimes my house smells of curry spices, but I like that so I don't mind.
