According to an Experian Automotive report on electric vehicles, out of the 292.3 million cars and trucks on the road in the U.S. in 2024, approximately 4,092,200 (1.4%) of those were electric cars. NOTE: There are even more halfway through 2025 but the current counts are not yet published.

On May 19, 2025 - a random check and count of blackouts throughout the US revealed Total Blackout customers 171030 with just 1.4% (+) of all registered vehicles being EVs. (These blackout counts are updated every 15 minutes.)

Biden and his cronies actually thought the US could withstand 100% of all vehicles being electric? It just is not going to happen in our lifetime. The power grid in its current state cannot handle the volume. It will take many years and billions of dollars to upgrade the entire network. That is not even including all the required charging stations that will be needed.

As it is, blackouts are normal across the country. North Carolina had a storm last week with more than 20,000 customers in the dark. California often has more than 30,000 customers without power, and all of this is even before we try to add all these electric cars.

Here is the actual state by state count if you want to count it for yourself: (as of 2:45 am EST May 19, 2025) The state of Maine is the only one without any outages at this moment.

I think that the solution is to promote Hybrid solution.
Hybrids like Gasoline and Electric or Gasoline and CNG.
In India too, Electric vehicles have faced a slowdown but it has been primarily due to safety and infra related concerns.

In US, Hybrid solutions can lead to lower emissions and also keep Gasoline as a backup when the electric component discharge happens.
Rest is up to the Fed and State Governments there.
