People Who Do Crafts

Postby Spontaneo » 06 Feb 2025, 03:29

Are you good with crafts? What crafts are you good at? How did you learn?

I can only do scrap fabric wreaths and gift baskets.

Clipping the fabric is the worst part! I have even offered money to people to clip for myself but get refused!

I have searched online for clipped fabric but cannot find 2 x 8 measurements.

I learned how to do wreaths at a craft classs that I had atttended.

There was a time in my past work where I had to cut large sheets down to a consistent size. Depending on the original size and thickness of the material, you might find it will fit within the confines of a large paper cutter. I was able to fold it enough to fit in the cutter path to just swipe down the sheet and make straight cuts a foot at a time. When folded, it would cut through several layers with a single cut. It was easy to make hundreds of cuts per day as needed. 2 inch by 8 inch cuts would only take seconds each.

How are you taught? From a school? YouTube?

I don't really do any crafts at the moment but I've tried a few over the years. I have done crochet, embroidery, wood burning decoupage and mosaic art.

Lately I've been busy with other things. I have a lot of different hobbies.

Embroidery was probably my favourite. I can kind of tune out doing it, or use it to keep my hands busy while watching TV or listening to music.
