Do you have a regular time for waking up?

Postby Kerryjoy12 » 06 Dec 2024, 09:34

Hello, They say, most successful people don't sleep, and the early bird catches the warmth, well I was wondering if everyone has a specified time to wake up. It is important to have regular waking times, it helps in planning out your day well. Do you have a regular waking-up time?

Those who have a regular job with a clock to punch at arrival each day almost have to have a regular time to wake. Many use an alarm of some sort but there are others who just wake naturally out of habit. If you are not working on the clock, there may be no specific need to wake at a certain time and you can keep on snoring until the sun gets in your eyes.

Once you reach retirement, there may be no need to wake at a certain time, but years of getting up for work creates a lifelong habit of waking at that same hour. Alarms can be tossed out until you find yourself needing to get up for a doctor's appointment or something similar.

My own favorite clock on the wall at this stage of life simply shows the seven days of the week. If it is pointing to the beginning of that section, it is somewhere in the morning. If it is in the middle, I know it is somewhere around noon and when it reaches the end of that block I know it is time to get ready for bed. All I need is to know what today is. Close enough for me these days. I now wake whenever I wake even though habit usually gets me up around 6 am whether I need it or not. I check the obits and if I'm not listed I figure I might as well get up.

When it comes to waking up, I do not have a regular time for this. The most important thing is that I wake up before 5:00am each day.

I suspect that most successful people do not oversleep but that they get good healthy sleep on a regular basis. I believe that people who are successful in any endeavor are not only very good at working and doing what they do, but they are also very good at resting. Our bodies and mind need sleep, it is a necessity and in order to be successful we need good quality sleep.

I get up early most mornings including at the weekend. I like to get some time to myself to exercise and work on ForumCoin, before the rest of the household gets up. I try to be disciplined and get up when the alarm goes off, but don't always succeed.

I usually wake up between 7 and 8 in the morning on weekdays. On weekends, I usually wake up around 8:30 to 9. However, there are occasions when I need to get up as early as 5 or 6 in the morning, especially when I have errands to run.

My friend, I value my sleep. So I try to get in a minimum of 6-8 hours' sleep. How much sleep I get depends mainly on my lessons or the amount of work I have lined up. If I don't have any reason to get up early, I don't get up until 9am... and don't feel guilty about it because I often work late into the evening.

Since I don't have to get up and leave the house I get up whenever. Most of the time it's between 11AM and Noon. But I stay up late until 2 or 3 AM.
