Instant Coffee?

Postby Spontaneo » 09 Jul 2024, 20:09

We all talk about coffee. However, how many of you drink instant coffee?

How do you prepare your instant coffee?

With instant coffee, a person can save a whole lot of money.

I have a jar of instant in my pantry for safekeeping.

What do you think? ;)

I drink instant decaf coffee regularly at home. I prefer the taste of other coffees, but use instant because it is easier and so much more convenient. Some day I might get a good coffee machine so that I can have quality coffee more conveniently.

On YouTube, there is a lady called Sweet Charity Smith who has a video called "iced Coffee In An Instant".

I would show you but the YouTube button is not functioning. :(

She is hilarious.

I used to have a coffee maker and used fresh ground coffee. The coffee maker broke at a time I could not afford a new one so I tried instant coffee. I could hardly stand the smell of the first one, so I tried another and did not like the flavor. I ended up going through the store shelf on each visit to try a different brand and finally tried Folgers Instant.

I was surprised that it tasted very close to the fresh ground flavor and I have been using it ever since ... maybe 25 to 30 years by now.

I add 2 tablespoons of coffee, a tablespoon of honey, a sprinkling of cinnamon and a very little coffee creamer to each cup. Well, I use a 3 cup size coffee mug. Once in awhile I add a scoop of chocolate to the mix. One cup usually lasts all day and I most often end up finishing off the cold leftover for breakfast.

The honey and cinnamon mix is based on a tried and tested remedy for stiff joints. It completely dissolved spurs on my knees and keeps all the other joints from going stiff. It has made a huge difference in my mobility.

That is awesome!

You can still have your coffee and still have your mobility!

The instant coffee jar that I have used maybe twice is called Chestnut Hill bought at Family Dollar.

Maybe if the power ever goes out again. ;)

Do you prepare your instant coffee in the microwave usually? What is your favorite method?

When a recipe calls for "coffee crystals", can this include instant coffee?
