We have not faced any trouble with US officials

Postby ksridharprasad » 17 May 2015, 04:34

Hi Friends,

We have not faced any trouble with US officials while getting customs and immigration clearance from US officials. We have carried several food items from India to US with double sealed pockets.

That is really good . You are lucky that you have escaped from their scanning. But when my son went abroad, there is a lady standing next to my daughter in law and while checking the baggage of my daughter in law, they found nothing eatables or food items in. her baggage so left her but while checking the other lady's baggage they found pickles, and fruits . So they removed it and dropped in the trash bin in spite of that lady pleading them.

You're specifically not allowed to bring fruits and vegetables I think. And no liquids on the plane

I swear you're allowed to bring liquids as long as they're not hot.

Hi Friend,

We have also carried pickles, spicy powders and several food items even sweets and savories, but luckily we came out safely without loosing any thing in our baggage.
