I am not left-handed. But I have a brother who is. Also, my late sister was ambidextrous, meaning she could use both hands. It was unintentional. When she was younger she used to reach for things with her left hand. My mother would put things in her hand. When she got old enough to go to school, the teacher figured out that she was left-handed. (I think that's how the story goes.) By that time she had grown accustomed to using both hands.
