Cat People vs. Dog People

Postby gtdoss » 12 Oct 2017, 01:37

I know there are a lot of families that have both cats and dogs and love them equally. Why is it, though, that so many people either love dogs or cats? I have a cat. I have always had cats. I think dogs are precious, but I do not particularly want to have one in my home. The problem for me is that most dogs shed more, drool more, and are more needy than most cats.

My cat is a little standoffish at times, and I love that! It shows me he has a lot of spirit. I don't have to let him out to relieve himself, nor do I have to worry about him eating too much. He just eats until he's full and then comes back to his food in just a little bit. I guess the independence that most cats show make me want to have them as pets.

If I had a home assistant who would take care of a dog, then I guess I'd have one!

I have dogs a the moment and although I love them I will probably have a cat after they have gone. Dogs need more looking after, they don't like being left for too long and they need more taking care of if you go away. It's easy to get someone to feed your cat or have a cat flap so they can get in and out. My sister has the most adorable cat who is so affectionate and it lives indoors. I don't know if I would want an indoor cat but I will definitely consider having one that can come in and out when my dogs have passed away.

I have dogs (7) of them at this time & yes cats ARE easy to care for
if something should happen that they need caring for by someone
else if your not there to do the job, Dogs need the extra care if
you can't do what needs to be done & harder to find homes for.

I use to have cats in the past but they don't serve the purpose I
need my dogs for, which is security, protection, & companion.

Me I have 5 dogs and more than a dozen cats. I cannot choose from them. I know I both love them, but I can't walk the cat, I only do it with dogs. Some of cats I have is not playing with me, but loves to be pet, unlike Dogs who loves to run with me. I do not like to choose as I both love them and their differences.

I always had dogs and for 12 years I had a rabbit.
I never had cats until I bought my new house. Here I have a little garden and some cats start to show up ... and I started do feed them :)
I started to deal with cats everyday and because of that I started to understand them better... I really can say thet cats are awesome, funny and affectionate :) I really love cats!

I love both cat and dogs equally. They really both are lovable and have special part in my heart. They give happiness differently but equally. I just love them watching play and get along together ^_^

I love both. All of my babies are gone now so there will be no more for me. It's too painful when they move on.

I have two dogs and a cat. But I prefer dogs I can play with my dogs, unlike cats they have their own world they don't like being touch.

I prefer having a dog as a pet. I just like to have a pal to play with and cats just don't get into it. I have had many dogs, one or two at a time, in the past but can't have one in my current apartment.
