I know there are a lot of families that have both cats and dogs and love them equally. Why is it, though, that so many people either love dogs or cats? I have a cat. I have always had cats. I think dogs are precious, but I do not particularly want to have one in my home. The problem for me is that most dogs shed more, drool more, and are more needy than most cats.
My cat is a little standoffish at times, and I love that! It shows me he has a lot of spirit. I don't have to let him out to relieve himself, nor do I have to worry about him eating too much. He just eats until he's full and then comes back to his food in just a little bit. I guess the independence that most cats show make me want to have them as pets.
If I had a home assistant who would take care of a dog, then I guess I'd have one!
