Just Like In Restaurants

Postby Spontaneo » 10 Dec 2025, 20:12

I am not a hot tea drinker but am an iced tea drinker.

However, I cannot perfect the recipe like they serve in restaurants.

When I am in restaurants, I ask over and over for refills. The poor waitresses.

When I prepare sweet tea, not sweet enough.

When I prepare unsweetened, tastes yuck.

I do not believe in preparing with boiling water. I believe in letting brew overnight.

Maybe you could ask in restaurants how they make it, so you can improve how you do it at home?

I always drink my tea unsweetened, if it has sugar I can't drink it, it is too sweet for me. It is the same with the coffee, I only drink plain black coffee.

Good suggestion.

Years ago, I worked at a steakhouse where they had huge tanks for their iced tea. I worked the salad bar, so I could not pay any attention to the iced tea. I worked until closing, so by then was too tired to ask.

I do not go out too much. However, if I do eventually, I shall keep you in mind.

Thank you! ;) ;)

I could never drink coffee black. I admire people who do!
